Sour Sweet Plum Soup is also called Ebony Plum Soup.





Roselle, celestial haw, ebony plum , and licorice are the main formulas. 
In summer, iced drink produces body fluid to quench thirst, relieve heat and remove greasiness. The tip of the tongue is full of aroma and the mouth is sweet.

Sour Sweet Plum Soup can be drunk all year round. 
In winter, it is recommended to drink it warmly to moisturize the throat and relieve greasiness. In summer, drink it after being cold to add refreshing flavor.



FORMULA  : 

Ume : Sour sweet plum soup uses ebony plum instead of ordinary sour plum, so as to boil the sweet and sour taste and unique smell.  
( Important  ) 

Because the cooking time is too long, the ebony plum is mixed with other ingredients such as hawthorn to form a residue, so it is not recommended to eat it.


Xian Hawthorn :  can help digestion and relieve bowel movements.


Licorice :  add odor, not too much to avoid too astringent taste.


Roselle  :   lowering blood fat and protecting liver. Add color,




The basic materials can be found in Taiwan, Hong Kong or China herbs medicine stores. In order to make it easier to cook, some stores will also prepare a package of "Sour Sweet Plum Soup Basic Pack", which can be boiled directly.  ( a pack of  non-woven fabric 








Some recipes in the market will add osmanthus or tangerine peel. Osmanthus is to increase the aroma.  Add tangerine peel to taste more sour and salty.  It should be noted that the tangerine peel added in the sour plum soup is not the orange peel with powdered sugar, but the original appearance of the orange peel with darker color and no powdered sugar.


Make your own sour sweet plum soup material   :  
Roselle 9g
Hawthorn 9g
Ume 60g
Licorice 6g
About 250g rock sugar

After washing roselle, celestial hawthorn, ebony plum and licorice and other materials with clean water, put them in a pot, add 5000c.c. water to a high heat and boil, and then, reduce the heat and simmer for at least 1 hour.

After picking up the ingredients, the whole pot of boiled sour sweet plum soup is left to cool.


After cooling, the sour sweet plum soup can be bottled and stored in the refrigerator.


Storage Method  :  
After cooling, bottle it and put it in the refrigerator. 
Drink it as soon as possible within 5 ~ 7 days.
